Lead Single - Thando Uyini Na?
This song questions the fundamentals of love in an era riddled by high divorce rates and materialism. The afro soul piece is a bold entry into the industry, detailing challenges in matters of the heart and forgiveness as the main catalysts in relationships that can stand the test of time. Nomangungu wrote this song in her first year of university in 2003.
Thokoza Dlozi
This song is just that - a veneration of her songstress ancestor, Gogo Nomndindi (a story for another day).
Konakele
This song is a lament of an educated unemployed youth whose intellect and skill sits forgotten at the periphery of the South African economy - a relatable reality and plight of many young South Africans.
Dali
This is a joyful modern maskandi-soul hit about love. One can almost imagine a young woman serenading her lover somewhere in the valleys of the Natal Midlands whilst vibing to this offering.
Imikhonto
This is an unforgiving reminder about the land, making sense of a political and racialised issue that continues to polarize an already divided South Africa.
